Our Emerald Grade matcha uses only the finest, first-harvest, hand-picked tea leaves. The first leaves are picked off the tea plant following the plant's winter hibernation. These leaves have the highest concentrations of chlorophyll (due to the plant hibernating during the winter) and L-theanine (providing a lighter, sweeter taste).

The leaves are processed using special blending and firing techniques, then ground to a fine powder. Matcha is a full-bodied Japanese Green Tea with a unique flavor.

The traditional Japanese tea ceremony centers on the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha as hot tea, and embodies a meditative spirituality.

Hot or Cold Brew. For best results use filtered water.
